We are helping employers to recruit, retain and promote autistic talent.
We offer
- Training for line managers and teams in understanding their autistic colleagues,
- Mentoring and support to supervisors managing autistic individuals,
- Training for your company’s internal mentors and support them throughout into their mentoring role,
- Mentoring programmes to autistic individuals by our own mentors that include wellbeing, career skills course and a support group,
- Workplace assessments for reasonable adjustments,
- Consulting on recruitment and retention practices.
Our flexible person centred one to one support works in the long term because it is designed by autistic people.
For autistic people we run an information site and peer support forum, and a Tool Up mentoring into employment programme helping autistic people into sustainable careers.
A lot of existing programmes intended to help autistic people in employment are infective because they are designed based on a non-autistic functioning and fail to address key barriers in ways that works for autistic employees. Our programme is effective because it is designed by leading academics with extensive input from autistic people and run by a team with extensive experience in business. We provide autism training, employee mentoring and inhouse mentor training.
We offer a unique solution that unlocks the full potential of autistic people.
Neurodiversity at work
Neurodiversity at work is a strand of organizational diversity that currently attracts well deserved attention. Put simply neurodiversity provides a competitive advantage in innovation and adaptability to the changing world and reduces risk. Neurodiversity encompasses neurological differences such as Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, ADHD and Autism Spectrum Conditions. It’s main tenet is that neurological diversity is an internal part of the diversity of human talent and should be protected and promoted. Neurodivergent people have brains that are wired differently and as the result they literally think differently, approach issues from a different perspective and with different emphasis resulting in innovative, creative solutions to complex problem, understanding of hidden trends and patterns that lead to new and improved processes, products and services.
15% of the workforce are estimated to be neurodiverse. 1 to 2% of people are autistic but in certain industries it is much higher. Whatever your business you are likely to come across neurodivergent employees and customers.
Autistic people have valuable strengths and skills in innovation, creativity and problem solving, are reliable and highly productive with the right support. Adding autistic and otherwise neurodivergent people to the team reduces risk and improves competitiveness.
Neurodiversity training
Our training is designed to support employers taking steps towards employing or accommodating neurodivergent talent. The training covers a range of issues associated with autism including latest research, incorporating the perspective of lived experience.
If your organisation is recruiting or already employs neurodivergent people, our training will help you to gain understanding of autism and become confident in dealing with a range of issues.
